Hotel Lõokese occupies a distinctive complex built between the 1960s and 1980s as the headquarters of the former Sõpruse collective farm. Its twentieth-century architecture, varied layout and interconnecting wings create an unusual setting. Converted into Hiiumaa’s first hotel in the 1990s, the building has kept its original name and a nostalgic 1990s feel. Stay somewhere with a story to tell.
As the island’s largest hotel, it is a good base for larger groups, birthdays, company summer events, themed parties, sports camps and choir camps.
The hotel welcomes guests in the summer high season from 1 June to 31 August – a lovely time to enjoy the island.
Outside the main season, we offer accommodation for larger groups by advance arrangement.
The hotel has two parts:
✔ Self-service accommodation – Comfortable, private rooms with access by door code.
✔ Additional hotel wing – Opened as needed, particularly for larger groups.
Book a summer stay or ask for a group offer — we can discuss options for any season.
We offer 12 simple twin rooms, accessed through a separate entrance by door code. Ten rooms are on the ground floor and two upstairs. Larger rooms can accommodate an extra bed for a child aged 3–15.
Children under 2 stay free in a baby cot or in their parents’ bed.
Breakfast at Kassari Puhkekeskus, 8 km away, is available on request and by advance arrangement during the low season, at €15 per adult.
*Extra beds and baby cots are limited — please book early.
*The pool season depends on hotel occupancy and warm weather.
